A few months ago I had my teeth whitened and I loved the effect! So as we are coming up to Christmas I decided it was time to have my teeth topped up again.  After all coffee, red wine, strong coloured food and smoking can discolour our teeth on a daily basis and it can be hard to keep them perfectly white!

I contacted Alan Osborne again who did my last treatment and we decided that he would come to my home to do the treatment.  Again Alan puts you at ease and explains all your options. I have very sensitive gums and need to be very careful when it comes to these treatments but as Alan does not use any peroxide in this treatment is completely safe and hygienic. Alan uses the Futura 2400 Machine that accelerates Whitening. 

 

After another very comprehensive consultation, I had three lots of treatment in the one appointment so 3 x 15 min sessions. It is very comfortable and pain free, which really surprised me as my normal treatment really stings.

 

 

The difference is unreal and unlike a lot of beauty treatments this gives instant results! Now you all know that I love instant results as I am very impatient when it comes to these things and so was delighted with my beautiful white teeth!

Alan also provided me with some extra treatments that I can use at home to top up my teeth in a few months time.

Let your head shine!

Hi all, I hope you had a fantastic long weekend!  I am back again with some more lovely little tips on how to get super duper hair!

I'm going to talk about what you can eat to help make your hair shine on the outside.  We all forget about our hair when we think about our health but hey who doesn't want fab hair??

I always feel your hair should be an extension of your face and body and here are some of the foods to help keep your hair healthy:

Cucumber:  
Full of silica, which is important for strong hair

Walnuts:  
Full of vitamin E and biotin which can help shield hair from the sun      
and help prevent against hair loss

Eggs:        
Loaded with zinc, selenium, sulphur and iron. Which helps bring oxygen to the hair follicles.

Juices are great too and at the moment I am trying a new green juice twice a day, why not try it out and let me know how you get on?

1 apple
1/2 lemon
6/8 leafs of kale
Tlbs of ginger

Juice together and drink fairly soon afterwards to get all the goodness!

So your mind is probably exploding with this new information right?

This month I thought we would talk about hair extensions, everybody wants long fabulous hair right??
 

Firstly it is important that you go for real hair extensions as you can blow dry, curl, wand, straghten....whatever your hair wishes!

Secondly and this is very important, go to a hairdresser, not someone who just did a course for half a day!  A hairdresser will not only be able to place the extensions were they should go but they can shape and style your extensions with the love and care that you and your hair deserves! Next is the very important colour match, we have all seen the nasty mullet look with bad colour match and awful hair placement!  So if you want fabulous luscious locks to take you through the party season; then professionally fitted and styled hair extensions are the only way to go!

Charity Single Launch for Teen-Line Ireland!

 

 

 

On the 3rd of September I was lucky enough to be invited to the The Academy, Middle Abbey Street for the VIP launch of the "Never alone" single for Teen-Line Ireland. Guests included: TV3, Finbarr Furey, Red Hurley Ian Madigan, Ryan Sheridan, JJ Jupiter and Leinster Rugby stars. This was no ordinary fundraising event and as a mother to a teenage boy myself I wanted to show my full support to all involved. 

 

Why Teenline Ireland Started
Darren Bolger was a typical teenager who loved life. He was very caring, loving and showed empathy to others. Darren made two mistakes in his life. His first mistake was that he didn’t talk about how he felt inside. His second mistake was a result of the first; he died by suicide on the 6th April 2003 aged 16 years.  After Darren’s death his mother, Maureen, was shocked to discover the lack of services available for young people in Ireland who may be contemplating suicide or going through difficult times and need someone to talk to. Teenagers expressed this gap in services to Maureen, saying they felt they were in between, too old for one helpline and too young for another. Maureen decided to put her experience and Darren’s death into something positive, hence the foundation of Teen-Line Ireland.

 

Teen-Line Ireland is a FREE-phone service open every day of the week from 8pm to 11pm and all calls are confidential, call 1800 833 634.

Do you ever feel like you just want to chat to someone who will really listen to you? No slagging or jeering.  No fear of what other people might think of you. Maybe there's something bothering you and you want to get it off your chest You might be feeling fed-up, alone, or cut off from the rest of the world. Maybe you feel stuck in-between, too old for some things, too young for others - lost- confused- no where to turn Teen-Line Ireland understands this. That's why we've set up a helpline for young adults... a number you can dial when no-one else will listen or maybe you just don't want to talk to someone who knows you. Teen-Line Ireland's volunteers are ordinary, every-day people who understand that young people need to be heard- they volunteer to listen - they do it because they value young people and care about how they are feeling - and they really want to listen.
 

'Never Alone' is a charity single for Glen Haybyrne and Teen-Line Ireland.  The lyrics and music were written and arranged by Luke Clerkin and Gavin Doyle. Vocals were arranged by Sandra Jane Hyland and it was produced in Block C Studios by Cian Donohue.  The lyrics were written to show those who are suffering in silence that they are not alone and that suicide is not the only escape.

The single features the outstanding vocal and musical talents of young singers and musicians from Tallaght, Celbridge, Greystones and Swords.

A few weeks ago I was invited along to meet Alan Osborne who has just set up his teeth whitening business. I love to keep my teeth pearly white so I jumped at the chance to review this new service.

 

As soon as you meet Alan he puts you at ease and explains all your options. I have very sensitive gums and need to be very careful when it comes to these treatments but as Alan does not use any peroxide this treatment is complete safe and hygienic. Alan uses the Futura 2400 Machine that accelerates Whitening. 

 

After a very comprehensive consultation, I had two lots of treatment in the one appointment so 2 x 30 min sessions. It is very comfortable and pain free, which really surprised me as my normal treatment really stings.

 

The difference was unreal and unlike a lot of beauty treatments this gives instant results! Now I love instant results as I am very impatient when it comes to these things and so was delighted with my beautiful white teeth! 

 

Alan is fully qualified and insured and I highly recommend a visit!
