Fabulous Hair from Frizz-Ease!

The Inspiration:
The Zac Posen Spring 2013 collection evokes whimsical elegance. With flowery prints and delicate chiffon, the innovative collection puts a fanciful touch on Spring.
The Style:
In order to enhance the richness of the colour, John Frieda® Global Creative Consultant Luigi Murenu melded two looks
into one – creating a graphic style in the front and a soft wave in the back. Drawing inspiration from polished wood, Murenu channeled screen sirens from old Hollywood and described the look as “chic, elegant and timeless.”

Step 1: To keep the crown frizz-free, apply a dime-sized amount of Frizz-Ease® Hair Serum Original Formula, smoothing hair downward from the top of the head to below the ear.
Step 2: Next apply Frizz-Ease® Curl Reviver Styling Mousse evenly through hair and brush to uniformly distribute product.
Step 3: Create a severe middle part and blow dry completely, brushing hair back and away from the face to make the
hair at the crown flat and smooth.
Step 4: With a 1” curling iron, create a wave by wrapping small sections of hair twice around the barrel. Make sure to stop
before reaching the nape of the neck in order to keep the crown flat. Brush hair out to create one uniform wave.
Step 5: Follow with Frizz-Ease® Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray to keep style in place.

I am obsessed by perfectly arched and groomed brows and I have been dying to get HD Brows so when the talented Noiren Carrigg from Carrigg Beauty salon & Skin Clinic on the Florence Road in Bray invited me along for the ultimate eyebrow experience, I jumped at the chance to show you all how amazing this treatment is. Noiren has over 24 years’ experience in the beauty industry and is one of Irelands leading Beauty therapists. With a list of achievements that Include President of the Irish Beauty Professionals Association and founder of the Irish Beauty Industry Awards, I knew I would be in the best hands!

Now my natural brow colour is extremely fair and I have to tint my brows dark brown every 4 weeks or I have to use pencil to fill them in every day.  I reluctantly let them go back to their natural state so I could really show you the difference.  This treatment is no eyebrow tint and shape it is serious eyebrow architecture with therapists intensively trained and specialising in HD brows, the treatment should take over an hour to achieve. Noiren took my brows through a unique, seven-step eyebrow shaping treatment focusing on design:

Step One – Assessment

Noiren talked me thought my colour options and showed me lots of different brow shapes along with real client before and after photographs. Noiren analysed the shape of my face and we discussed my eyebrow requirements deciding which brow shape suited my facial features best and we settled on a warm brown colour.

Step Two – Tinting

Noiren applied a high definition tint to my brows to even out and darken my eyebrow colour. This tint actually colours your skin to really give definition.

Step Three – Shaping & Waxing

Noiren measured my brows meticulously and marked each section from arch to tip to ensure the perfect shape and dimensions for my face were achieved, she then used a special blend of HD wax to painlessly and precisely remove the unwanted hair from my brow area.

Step Four – Trimming

A HD scissors was used to trim back any long, wiry and unruly hairs to create a neat and tidy brow line.

Step Five – Threading

Noiren used threading the ancient Eastern art of hair removal which involves using a special thread to blend hairs into the brow area, precisely removing unwanted hairs from the brow, creating a streamlined look. This is painless and a true art form!

Step Six – Tweezing

Any stray leftover hairs were tweezed out to perfect my fabulous HD brows.

Step Seven – Finish

My skin was wiped down with a soothing lotion, this causes the hair follicles to close, Noiren then applied a special mineral powder to camouflage the redness.  We chose the ‘Foxy’ HD eyebrow palette to fill in any gaps in my brows and you can purchase all the HD products at the salon. The HD Brow Beater wand then sets the hairs into place for an immaculate finish.  Finally I was given the chance to see my new look; I was amazed at the difference, new shape and looked like I had a brow lift.  I was then given my individual home care advice and a chart letting me know the areas I need to colour or pencil in.  I will need to visit Noiren in 3-4 weeks’ time; this will be different for everyone.

Use one colour on the eyes and sweep all the way around under you lower lash line, I love the Innocent Turquoise eye shadow, this colour will make green and blue eyes pop with colour! €10.79

Go candy crazy with your nail colour, combine two colours, and try using Marie Antoinette #202 on the half- moon section of your lower nail and then Perle De Jade #602 on the remaining nail.  Think French manicure but upside down and this look is HOT right now!  €7.55.
